Phlebotomy Technician

Designed to give students basic phlebotomy skills. Venipuncture skills prepare students for a career in laboratories, hospitals and physician's offices.

The course integrates anatomy and physiology and medical terminology with an understanding of laboratory tests and their clinical correlation.

Proper collection technique and safety are emphasized in a clinical setting. Stresses personal characteristics and interpersonal skills necessary for a successful career.
